Fitz is a festival maker, here at our home at 306 Northern Avenue. When the tents begin to rise, you NEVER want to interfere with his work. A brunch obsessed demon didn’t get the memo. He hurled giant bagels, caffeinated beverages, and strips of cooked meats at the brewery. Fitz, barely phased, exorcised the brute. Now no longer a demon, the meek soul cleaned up his mess before descending back to hell.
Brunch Exorcism is aged in Bourbon, Irish Whiskey, and Maple Bourbon barrels. Cold brew, applewood, and beechwood smoked malts round out the flavor profile, delivering a demon free brunch in a glass!

Can. A- Light maple, mild roast, slightly boozy, sweet. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Mild smoke, char, faint bitterness, roasty, subtle maple, mildly boozy, faint coffee. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- The can indicated a variety of whiskey barrels and coffee. Didn't mention that large smoke influence but I love the surprise it brings on the finish. Flavors seem to fade as it warms rather than open up. Good but a bit bland.

I’ve had this 19.2 oz can put away for some time now, a purchase made at the local craft beer store. A long day of staining a fence has put me in the mood for some recovery. Clown Shoes consistently puts up new products to be tasted, I appreciate that. My New Belgium globe glass is the lucky recipient this evening while I have some Steely Dan on the speakers. The liquid is a black-hole black with the thinnest of a medium tan head accompanying. A great scent, Tootsie Roll, charcoal and tobacco. I tilt the glass for a taste. Oh my, this is really fine, chocolate fudge, ash, raspberries, caramel and a healthy helping of booze. There is a decent bitterness wrapping around the whole experience. I’ve had more brews from Clown Shoes than anyone else. This is is top of the list.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight tan head. Aroma seems chocolate and bacon with some burnt malt. Very full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, smoke, burnt malt, coffee, bourbon, maybe whiskey other than bourbon. Not dry. Not sticky. Bitter from burnt malt and head. After awhile maple pops up. Crazy stuff! Tastes good tho.
