*Bottle from Tesco in Letterkenny, Ireland. Smooth malty and nice roasted brew. Sessionable, not too deep but round and chocolaty. Nice.

Bottle from Tesco Longford [220115]
Black, good frothy tan head, some lacing
Aroma - Very soft sweet dark malts, slight roast, touch of toffee, dull nose
Taste of soft sweet dark malts, touch of dark chocolate, soft roast, simple, rather weak in flavour but what’s there is fine
Palate - Soft carb, medium light body, bit thin, fairly sweet. Finish has a touch more bitter roast, hint of dry newspaper
Overall - Better than the Red. Drinkable, but flavour rather weak for abv. Economy brewed.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Rotem. Dark amber-brown, not opaque, with no head. Slightly oxidized aroma of chocolate, a bit stale, with a bit of roast. Slightly sweetish flavor, a bit oxidized, with chocolate, cardboard, a bit of roast and a bitterish finish. Kinda watery. Not a great Stout.

Bottle from tesco. Dark brown with no great head. Aroma is thin chocolate malt. Flavour is bitter chocolate, thin texture, portery more so than a stout. And not a great one at that.
