Bottled as Extra Gold. A golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of honey and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw - and some American hops? The body is thin.

(bottle, as Sauerländer 1899 Blond) Clear yellow colour with a diminishing small frothy white head. Grassy hop aroma with a touch of salted pop corn. Thin malty taste with a short unpleasant bitter finish.

Bottle: Very pale yellow, thin lacing head; musty nose, traces of malts; light bitter taste, extremely light bitter aftertaste; thin bodied, almost watery..... Serious beer-drinkers should better forget this kind of "beer", which is very popular with young "trendy" people.......
