Ur-bayrisch-vollmundig-lieblich.

Bottle from Erzengel as part of Euro Local Swap 2/2020, thanks. Malty aroma and taste, chocolate, light roasty notes, light clove, light sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, malty spicy bitter sweet finish. Ok.

Unusual 0,5 l screw top bottle from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! Opaque darkest red brown in the glass with a two finger pale beige head. Some yeast and low wheat on the nose. Taste starts with dark wheat, low fruity, hints of malt. Not that typical fruity stuff. Flat dry in the second row. Metallic hints, some yeast with some bitterness. Low carbonated. Not that what I expected. Wrong bottle? Okay, a few days behind BB date.

Delivery only screw-top bottle sent to me from Erzengel - Cheers! Tight bubbly off white head left a creamy cover on a cloudy reddish brown still body. Malt, medicinal & berries aroma. Medium bodied, tickles over the tongue with fine carbonation & a clean back. Caramel, malt, sweet, spices & bread tastes with tangy fruity finish.

50cl bottle from the home-delivery. Smooth mild beginning. The beer turns a bit rough soon, moderate bitter with roasted parts. The yeast is smooth and a bit dusty in the back, very dry with neutral parts in the end. Mild dry, yeasty with roasted mild parts. The yeast is more on the neutral-spicy side, malty dry with bitter parts in the end. Interesting brew.

Screw-cap bottle (excavated by Stefan!): Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, big stable off-white - beaten egg-white-like - foam; moderate toasty and light chocolatey nose with a subtle fruitiness; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, medium-bodied and smooth; increasing (dryish) traces of cacao and chocolate in the sourish-fruity finish. Good and pleasant.....

(screw cap bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Cloudy, brown colour with a beige and huge foamy head. Yeasty and moderately sweet toast-malty and wheaty aroma with delicately fruity notes and a touch of chocolate. Sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, medium to light bodied with a pleasantly soft carbonation. Hearty toast-malty and moderately wheaty taste wwith a rather restrained fruit-character; moderately sweet toasty finish with notes of cacao and a delicately sour berry-fruity touch. Balanced and mild Dunkelweizen. 10.XI.10

bottle from Rapp-Heimdienst. Cloudy chestnut-brown colour, large and creamy beige head. Malty-caramalty nose with hints of berries. Full-bodied, lots of roasetd malts, caramel, toffee fudge and in the far background dark berries such as blackcurrant. Pleasant carbonation. A very nice Dunkelweizen from a reliable brewery.
