A dark mild with the thirst-slaking qualities of a pale but the roasty, toasty qualities of a dark. The best of both worlds.

Many thanks to BeardedAvenger. Nice roasted smooth beginning. Hazelnuts, round and malty, very dry with a nice Ale-bitter malty finish. Very nice.

Bottle from Hoptimism. Rich creamy roast coffee aroma. Dark and glossy - a cola brown tint. Despite having sat one a shelf for some time the foam gushed out of the bottle as soon as I opened it. Unsurprisingly the head is thick and foamy. Initial sour/bitter berry hit, before it smooths out to bitter coffee. Creamy finish. Light bodied. Thin - the fizzy prickly carbonation rules the roost. Abrupt finish. I like this but may as well have been labelled a porter. Although I guess the deseiorion is accurate - roasty but slips down easily.
