Strong West Coast USA influence, low bitterness, tons of fruity flavours and aromas balance a solid malt backbone. Dangerously drinkable.

GBBF Day 2. Almost clear amber beer, little white head. Dry palate, very dry! Good sweet malt base. Good piney hops with decent citrus and a floral vibe. Nice flavour but way too dry.

Appearance: Hazy amber color with an off white layer that leaves some lacing.
Aroma: Toffee, grape hoppy and tropical fruity.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet and a rich bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Grape hoppy, tropical fruity, bready and solid toffee.
Overall impression: A nice meal in the evening.
Personal stats: On tap at White Hart (Nicholson’s) in London, England.

Cask at GBBF 2013, Olympia, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes is similar, hoppy, citrus, bitter, slight caramel with a dry finish.

Cask at GBBF. amber-orange color with a low head. Nose of caramel, spicy hops, citrus, pepper. flavors of chocolate, caramel, grass, hay. Very peppry finish. Tasty, doesn’t feel much like Yakima.

Cask at gbbf 2013. Clear light amber pour with no head. Nose is resin and caramel. Mid sweet caramel mid body. Metallic.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small to fully gone head. Aroma is fruity, grapefruity and peachy. Bitter, herbal and pine hops. Fruity and crisp hoppy. Bitter and dry into the finish.

Medium offwhite head. Clear amber body. Light peachy strawberry aroma with toffee notes. Dry-sweet smoky strawberry taste. Mid-bodied. MIld mouthfeel. Dryish smoky strawberry aftertaste with lingering spicy finish. Weird, clashing mix of flavours. Did not really enjoy. This is a Yakima IPA? (0.284l keg at Maltings, York.)

Cask at Clachans, Soho. It pours deep amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is orange, peach, sticky mango, wood, earth and toffee. The taste is bitter-sweet, stewed orange, peach, sweet tropical fruit, pine, varnish booze, resin, toffee and a peppery kick towards the end with a lingering bitter finish. Medium-full body, soft carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Big and brash. A touch sweet and cloying after a while unfortunately. I think this would be better exhibited through keg or bottle with more carbonation to lift the palate. Decent nontheless.

Cask at Stourbridge Beer Festival; hazy copper pour with foam off white head, tropical fruit aroma this comes through in the taste.

Taste: Caramel, pear and lime. Sweet honey and pine in there too. Very subtle peppery hint. Quite rich and boozy with a lingering bitterness.
Palate: Full body with a thick, oily mouthfeel. Flat carbonation.
Overall: At £5.00 a pint, it’s quite pricey but there’s just about enough flavour here to justify it. I’d like to try this on keg - I think more carbonation would help to lighten the heavy mouthfeel and lift the flavours a bit more.
