A pale wheat beer. Honey and banana nose advises the sweet taste but not the sweet, dry spicy finish from this wheat beer.

Rhythm 'n' Brews festival at The New Inn, Newport, Shropshire on 20th July 2019. Cask, hand-pulled half-pint. Very clear for a wheat beer, golden bodied, white crown. Easy drinking brew with a decent blend of hop bitterness and wheat sweetness.

True Anglo-Saxon wheat ale with snow white, stable head, creamy as is often the case in beers containing wheat; hazy golden colour. Aroma has some cooked vegetables and sweaty graininess, not too inviting actually, apart from light bready and grassy notes. Light in the mouth, subtle fruitiness, smooth but rather thin body, grainy, with a very mild grassy hoppiness in the finish. Lacks character.

Cask at GBBF 2015. It pours lightly hazy gold with a decent white head. The nose is creamy, Rhubarb & custard, green veg, grainy and dough. The taste is bitter - sweet, creamy, doughy, light spice, earthy, straw, custard, lemon parfait, light alcohol boost and wheat with a dry, lightly spiced finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Interesting.
