Red brown with thin creamy head. There’s some light smoke in the aroma. Fairly light bodied but makes for a characterful session beer.

(Keg at Bryggeri Helsinki, 20150909) The beer poured dark reddish brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, molasses and sweet rye bread. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, sweetness, sweet rye bread, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. A well done mild, sweet and malty brew.

Draught @ the brewpub. Aroma has hayish grain and toffee - rather typical to Bryggeri. Also mild menthol. Flavour has grapefruit, berry juice, rye, some harsh maltiness and minerals. Finishes with some bush leaves. The hops are nice but the berry notes are not. Sweet rye tones as this warms up - now we’re talking!

Tap at Bryggeri Helsinki, Helsinki. Colour is cloudy reddish light brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, bread, rye, dryness, caramel, yeast, hints of sourness, distant hints of syrup and malts. Very ryeish and sour rye bread makes this one very interesting. Clean and fresh.
