Bag in a box at Muggletons, JDW, Maidstone. Slightly commerical cider aroma. Some apple but mostly cardboard. Having drunk a lot of proper cider this is so bad it’s comical.

Served as Hughie sets out at the Knights Templar (JDW), Bristol 16/4/09. Pale gold with slight carbonation. Muted apple aroma. Easy drinking with plenty of fruit and a lingering, sweet finish. Ok.

The Bell at Hampton Poyle, Oxon 16-07-06. Quite impressed to find this pub had five real ciders available. Golden in colour, sweet appley aroma, nice tangy apple taste but a touch on the sweet side, I enjoyed this and found it quite refreshing but unusually for me with cider found this to be just a touch too sweet.

(Bag in a box) Clear, golden - no trace of a head. Markedly tart apple aroma. Light, somewhat watery body with distinct accents of apples atop an underlying sweetness. 160406

A hazy orange cider with no head. The aroma is a combination of sweet and acidic apples, while the flavor is nicely dry with notes of wood besides the acidic notes of apples. A very nice cider, though the mouthfeel is a bit thin.
