We looked to the USA west coast for this IPA style. Big flavours rule, so we use all-American citrus hops for a powerful orangey taste. Look out for floral notes too in this highly drinkable beer.

Can shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of... not very much. Light biscuit malt. Smells like a golden ale. Taste has some light hop character. Faint lime. Thin finish.

Keg at Russels bar, Dundalk, 22/09/18. Golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is grassy, light citric pith, tangerine, straw, grains. Taste comprises toasted grains, pale malts, lemon rind, grass, hint of orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with modest hop bitterness. Poor attempt at the style ... entry level gateway garbage ... citra ? Really ? Calorie waster !

Keg at the Bear and Bottle, Warrington. Orange/gold, clear with a thin ring of white head. Gorgeous little aroma: some tangerine juice and grapefruit notes, but it's malt led with notes of caramel to the fore. Taste, though. Ugh. Sweet, artificial, and garbagey. Can't get the taste of compost out of my mouth. Ew. Has some promise but there are serious, serious issues.

Golden colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have light citra notes. Maybe a toich of lime zest. Entry level IPA for traditional lager drinkers.

Pint on tap at the Hilltop, Conisbrough. Medium creamy white head. Clear golden pour. Light citrus bitterness. More of a pale ale than an IPA. Could use more hops

Bottle from Tesco, Tullamore [160518]
Amber, clear, frothy white head
Aroma of very light citrus, hint of pale malt, dull
Taste of light citrus, slight floral notes, light sweet pale caramel malts, very soft bitter hops, not juicy, really not getting any of Citra hops here, more pale malt than hops, bland and insipid
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, light bitter. Finish is a bit dry, light bitter, light sugars
Overall - Dullest Citra IPA I've had. Not juicy, hardly any hops. Won't be getting this again

330ml can from Morrison's; BBD 20th Jan 19. Poured into a chalice at home on 1st June 18, the first beer in a mini tasting session with myself. Clear and clean amber body, off-white pillow of foam on top. Citrus hop notes in both the nose and taste, refreshing and fairly crisp in the mouth. Happy to drink the remaining three from the four-pack, didn't expect to say that when I bought it!

330ml can. Clear amber beer with a foamy white head. Aroma is light citrus and some caramel malt. Flavour broadly the same. Not as hoppy as I'd expected but ok
