Burning Heart is a full-bodied brown abbey style beer of 6.1%. The lightly roasted malts are the basis for a delicious combination of caramel and candy. Seasonal spices such as speculaas, star anise and cloves give character to this beer. On the nose, the aroma of Fuggles hops and a light oak aging of “cinnamon-bourbon” which gives the beer its “hot heart”.

Small pale cream head over veiled red-brown beer. Mint, almost camphor-like, aniseed, allspice. Instead of aromas. Sweet-spicy. Again allspice or clove, aniseed. Finish is Cola-like without the acidity of the underphosphoric acid. Quite slick, medium bodied, falling a bit dead. Congratulations to Anders! having succeeded to reproduce a homebrewed Cola. Txs to Stef for bringing!

Donker roodbruin bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet met iets van karamel en iest kruidig wat ik niet kan thuis brengen. Niet echt geslaagd.

Dark brown with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a tonne of spices that I hate. For me it's undrinkable.
