Egy sört reggelire? A Morning Joe az első állandó sötét sörünk, a rengeteg limitált és nemzetközi együttműködésben készült barna és fekete főzet után. A breakfast stout egy viszonylag lazán értelmezett sörstílus. Lényege, hogy egy alap stoutot olyan hozzávalókkal egészítenek ki, amelyek egy amerikai reggeli részei lehetnének. Mi egy sok zabbal megpakolt alapot (oatmeal stout) készítettünk, ennek köszönhetően a sör krémes, testes, selymes kortyérzettel és bézs színű habbal. Az alapot pedig minőségi kakaóbabbal és a Casino Mocca magyar kézműves kávépörkölők etiópiai kávéjával turbóztuk fel. A markáns kávés pörkölt ízjegyeket a kakaó csokoládés édessége kerekíti le, a zab pedig könnyen ihatóvá teszi. Kellemes és élénkítő ital, mint egy jó capuccino.

Pours black color with one finger of fuzzy beige head, weak retention. Roasted malts and coffee aroma. Roasty, coffee, fruity esters and low cocoa flavor. Earthy bitterness, light body, dry finish.

Clouded deep brown to black with a decent beige head. Fruity esters, roast & toast,, coffee, slightly smoked, floral hop. Pretty dry. Decent ending bitterness. Pleasant aftertaste. Good.

Tap at Hopa. Jet black pour, beige head. Coffee, cocoa, earthy notes in aroma. Taste is coffee, earthy notes, creamy and silky light body. Soft to normal carbonation.

Can from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is beanie coffee with roasted malt, coffee grounds, light chocolate and caramel. Flavour is moderate bitter and light sweet. Medium body. Rudimentary but nicely 'grindy' Coffee Stout.

Can from unknown source. Expired. Drunk early on a New Year’s Eve, counting on the caffeine boost. Black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma promises coffee, coffee grounds, toasted grains. Taste is moderate bitter with a faint tartness going into the finish. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Straightforward. Ok.

Nagy, tartós, bézs hab, fekete szín. Kávés, kakaós, aszalt gyümölcsös, kissé zabos illat. Íze kávés, kakaós, kissé földes-poros, a zab enyhe selymességével és némi aszalt szilvás jelleggel. Közepesen testes, száraz, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Kellemes, jól iható sör.

Draft at Kandallo. Poured almost black in colour with a thin broken off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt and chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, earthy, sweet chocolate, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice, but where was the coffee?
