A superb premium golden ale with wonderful aromas of Amarillo hops and a lasting spicy and orangy flavour. Cara malt provides a little burnished colour, but the light body belies its strength.

Cask from The White Horse, Chelmsford. Golden yellow with right level of head. Fruity, floral, citrus aroma courtesy of the Amarillo hops. Probably Crouch Valeโs finest.

500ml bottle from Ales by mail
BBE MAY13 - Pours clear golden color with a foamy white head. Aroma of floral hops, grass and malts. Taste has notes of floral hops, grass and fruits. Finish is mildly bitter and fruity with floral notes. Nice, quite easy going but tasty and highly sessionable golden ale.

6/VII/2012 - 50cl bottle from The Bottle Shop (Canterbury) @ home - BB: I/13 (2012-689)
Clear blond beer, small creamy white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, lots of pineapple, passion fruit, citrus, bit cheesy, grains, sweet malts. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: bit cheesy in the start, nice bitterness, some grapefruit, sweaty feet/cheese, little sweet. Aftertaste: grapefruit bitterness, grapes, pretty dry ending. I wouldn't have minded a bit more body and malts.

50 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu. Rated on 11.12.2010
Aroma is somewhat fruity with hops, some hay and grain typical to golden ales. Flavour is rather hoppy and fruity with some grapefruit, citron, biscuits and hints of grainy malt. Refreshing and very good beer in this style.

Cask at CP&K. It pours clear amber, with a small white head. The nose is floral, mango, orange, passion fruit and white grape. The taste is orange, lemon, soap, floral, mango, white grape and passion fruit, with a solid bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Great balance. Flavoursome and very drinkable. This really is as good as it gets for this style. Great stuff.
