Very pale with delicious (and outrageously expensive!) US Amarillo hops, which are earthily aromatic and the beer, highly drinkable.

Small coarse froth quickly disappears. Slightly hazy yellow body. Resiny gooseberry aroma with floral spicy elderberry notes. Dryish elderberry and gooseberry taste with wooden floral notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, flat, faintly oily mouthfeel. Dryish elderberry and spice aftertaste with wooden notes. Lovely! Subtle and extremely drinkable. (0.568l cask at Bishop’s Arms, Copenhagen.)

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average to huge, frothy, more reinforced than lasting in itself, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, hints of lemon, grapefruit, a touch of orange, cautious biscuit malty background. Taste is citrusy hoppy, hints of lemon, a touch of orange and grass, some bitterness, a mineral touch. Light and refreshing.

Cask handpump at FFTMC, Oxford on the KBO Christmas night out Monday 9th December 2013 Can’t believe that I hadn’t rated this? Anyway had two pints of this tonight, absolutely lovely. Straw coloured, excellent clarity, sparkling, it looks marvellous good temperature, small white head atop. It’s simple, it’s fruity, crisp and finishes dry, the amarillo is not quite the fashionable hop it once was with new kid’s on the block but it’s still a corker when used in this fashion.
