A dark brown stout with a thin moka head. In aroma, a sweet caramel corn syrup, a little woody, not bad. In mouth, a sweet peaty malt, roasted, very nice. Medium bodied. Bottle at Mondiale 2011, June 11 2011.

Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, smaller loose and stable off-white head; moderate to rich aromas of dry roasted malt, ashes and freshly ground coffee; balanced by sweet dark malt and dried fruits; solid dry bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering dryish finish: toasted malt, dried fruits and ashes, followed by a roasty-bitter aftertaste. Another gem from Hawkshead......

500ml bottle from Booths. Very unusual beer. Very deep brown colour with lasting beige head. Little bit of rubber, but its pretty good. Decent hop and some intense malt. Choccy and some bits are tarry and spicey. What a bizarre beer, almost tastes like a weak imperial stout. Bizarre, but good. Spicey hop on finish.
