La Ruche is a delicate Missouri Saison fermented using a blend of our local microflora and a traditional Saison yeast. Orange Blossom honey was added to this soft beer for refermentation in a Missouri Oak Foedre and was aged to maturity before being naturally conditioned in the bottle.

Bottle thanks to Peter! Pours clear golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is nice, buggy, oak barrel, light vinous notes, lemon, hint of herbal note. Flavor is light tart, light funk, mineral and white wine notes. Lightish body. Quite nice. Certainly on par with what I would expect from say HF or SARA.

Bottle shared at BD Castlegate. It pours clearish orangey with minimal head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, sugary, apricot, peach, persimmon, jammy, tinned fruits and candy. The taste is crisp, dry, puckering, sherbert, apricot, peach, mango, papaya, earth and minerals with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Bright and fruity. Fun.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to the Dream Team. Pours lightly hazy orange-gold with a frothy, white head. Lightly sweet, with notes of wheat, salt, lemon. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Tart finish, more citrus fruits, lemony zip. Very decent overall.
