La Ruche is a delicate Missouri Saison fermented using a blend of our local microflora and a traditional Saison yeast. Orange Blossom honey was added to this soft beer for refermentation in a Missouri Oak Foedre and was aged to maturity before being naturally conditioned in the bottle.

Level 6 Bottleshare. Thanks to LKS and the team. Hazy orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light dry palate. Lemon acid, not too strong but strong enough to overwhelm the subtler elements of this so called Saison. Crisp finish. Pointless.

0,75l bottle at home shared by me. Blend #1. yellow hazy color, small white head. smells spices, earthy, honey, doughy, bit musty, spices, bit cheesy. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, grassy, earthy, spices, some wood, peppery, bit herbal, bit lactic. finishes dry and light to medium sour with notes of cheesy, grass and earthy notes. very nice one, smell was not that exciting but taste is very nice, good complexity
