Beluga is a bold, roasted Russian Imperial Stout. Complex and luxurious, we get the requisite chocolate and coffee flavours, but enriched with subtle hints of leather and dried fruits. Take your time to savour this beer, as it needs rumination, and just might provoke deeper contemplation.

Bottle. Pours a huge head. Malt, roast and salted licorice in the aroma and flavor. Fairly dry, the licorice dominates. Slightly alcoholic. The salt bothers a bit,

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Salty-spicy and roasty dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, hints of salty liquorice and caviar, oyster. Taste is roasty dark malty and salty-spicy, notes of dark chocolate, sea salt, hints of salty liquorice, caviar, oyster, cautious fruity overtones with a blueberry touch; well hidden alcohol, lingering roasty, spicy finish, minimally metallic overtones. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally sticky palate. Dangerously drinkable, quite inventive composition.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, mocha coffee, caramel, roasted malt and subtle smoke. Taste has creamy mocha coffee, licorice, chocolate, burned caramel, bitter malt, peachy hop and salmiak. Creamy mouthfeel. Why is the rating so low, this is a solid classic ris.

330ml bottle from trade with MonsterMagnet. Many thanks chap! Pours dark, good tan topping. Dark treacle, chocolate, dark malts on the nose. Good depth to the palate, nice dark treacle, rich swirls of liquorice, coffee roast, smooth with creamy moments. Pretty good this.
