Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a deep orangey amber with an off-white head. Sweet roasted malts in the nose with a little cocoa. Medium body, roasted malts combined with Belgian yeast - but still comes out more like a Brown Ale. Extreme carbonation and a dryish finish. 110110

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small, fizzy and light tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and phenolic. Sweet, breadish, roasted and dark caramelish malt flavoured. Bitter and roasted malt flavoured finish. Lingering dark breadish flavour into the far finish.

Gushing! Yellowish head, then disappearing over dark amber beer with orange highlights. End of bottle solid yeast. Dry, root spicy and leafy aromas, dry chocolate powder, sweetish. Infected flavour, lactic touches, bit leafy & some chocolate; unripe fruit and buttermilk. Creamy, yeasty, thick MF; spritzy. There’s something rotten in the state of Überach.

Medium dark brown, very cloudy with yeast. Small head that quickly faded. Aroma of malt, chocolate, a touch of caramel. A bit fruity, like dried figs or raisins. Also a lot of yeast. Close to a Belgian dubbel, but very well roasted malt. Great burnt flavor. A touch of coffee, chocolate, a bit of caramel. Just a bit sweet, but with hints of sour as well, along with the burnt taste and a bit of hops. Just a touch of earthiness. The finish is roasted malt all the way. A pretty good dubbel type beer. Not quite at the top level, but close.

Bottle (Merci, Stephane !): reddish-brownish head with a smaller beige foamy layer; fruity (dried fruits) and caramelly nose; sweet and slightly sourish flavour, light bodied; fruity-malty finish plus a little acidity. Not great...........

Bottle @ home. [ Courtesy chris_o ].Clear medium amber color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, bread, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (130508)

(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Cloudy, dark amber colour with a mid-sized beige frothy head. Dusty, sweet toast-malty nose with caramel and peppery spice. Light-sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness; quite slim bodied for an abv of 5.2%, slightly fizzy on the tongue. Toasty malt-character with notes of caramel and dried prunes; medium-dry, sweet, toasty and slightly sourish finish. Not my cup of tea (10.06.08).

bottle. Dark brown colour, beige head, which is quite creamy and very persistent. Very malty with hints of roasted malts, caramel and chocolate. Full of flavour, this is lovelly.
