Bottle split at Craft Clerko thanks to Kenneth - the 4th from this series for me in less than 60 hours and the least impressive, 08/07/13. Hazy orange amber with a thin off white head which quickly dissipates to spotting. Nose is booze, bitter orange, dark fruit, woody tones, sour apricots. Taste comprises harsh booze, dark fruits, toffee, orange pith, oaky notes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, dry boozey warming alcohol in the finish. Drinkable but glad to be splitting this one with others! Alcohol is just too harsh and not well integrated.

Craft Clerkenwell tasting. Hazy amber beer, big fluffy pale cream coloured head. Light dry palate, mild carbonation. Alcohol dryness. Little dried fruits and surprisingly wishy washy brandy. Dry finish. This one feels a bit clumsy and not well joined up.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Big thanks to Kenny for continuing to carry us along with him on his Hof Ten Dormaal Barrel-Aged Project Odyssey. Pours cloudy, orange-gold with a creamy white head. Nose of doughy bread and tangy tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with sugary white bread, alcohol, booze-soaked citrus. Full bodied with lively, creamy carbonation. Warming finish with sweet tangerines, oranges, light dry dough. Decent overall. Reasonably drinkable for 12%.

On tap. Pours with a hazy golden hued body with a thin white head. Aromas are boozy, marzipan, musty barrels, deep fruit complexities, warming malty. Flavors show lots of grapes, warming alcohol, medium ester, boozy, malty, warming, medium tannin, apple. Lower carbonation and seemingly a bit drier than some of the others.

75cl Bottle at Sloshfest, mini blind-tasting. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of ripe fruits, thick malts, yeast, fruits like banana, white wine and a little brandy, plastic. Flavour is medium sweet, yeast, plastic, a little earth, light fruity, light sourness in the otherwise bitter finish. Not much barrel here imo. Medium-bodied. Base beer is not great either.

Bottle at the De Molen second Tuesday tasting. Pours a clear amber with a frothy white head and medium carbonation. The aroma is somewhat weak, but the richness and alcohol were there in the background. The flavour is rich but too "up front" for me. It reminded me of Lucozade. There wasn’t much else other than the alcoholic oaky Armagnac. It wasn’t for me!
