Slightly hazy, light amber golden, white head. Fruity aroma, wine, wood, cognac, sweet alcohol and old wood. Sweet alcoholic flavour, quite malty, notes of apple. Light sour finish, old wood, fruity notes and sweet alcohol.

Thx. to Dave // 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG 2012 // limited to 1345 bottles // part of our Hof ten Dormaal BA partial horizontal // quite interested about this barrel and probably my favorite of the 4 we tried // darker orange than Madeira, lightly hazy, hazier also. med. white head // smells sweet of oranges, sweet malts, mellow marmalade and enough barrel, I assume that this is sweet armagnac // tastes of sweet oranges, marmalade, bitter spices, sweet malts, yeast and plenty of fruitiness, flowers, the whole is rather round and rounded off with barrel and light complimenting booze / liquor // smooth & round bodied // neat

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, caramel, and armagnac. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, caramel, armagnac, and dusty hops, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy amber with a lacing off-white head. Phenollic and boozy aroma. Medium body, heavily carbonated, yeasty and phenollic with a metallic and lightly fustic edge to it. Again an extremely boozy, dry finish. 200812

Bottle sample @ 2nd RBBSG, August 11th 2012. Courtesy of Dave.

11/VIII/2012 - 75cl bottle @ RBBSG - (2012-886) Thanks to Dave for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy amber to mud beige beer, small white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, floral, somewhat soapy, sweet malts, bit sugary, chocolate notes. MF: ok carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: sweet malty to sugary in the start, pretty floral, alcohol noticeable, apples ans strong cider. Aftertaste: sweet, some banana, apple skin, little sourish, alcoholic finish. Not bad.
