On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and roast. Slick body, licorice, roast, cocoa, cracker, dry finish, good.

Tap @ Idletyme. Black coloured. Chocolate, coffee, fruity, bit of roastiness.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a nice looking rugged dark brown close to black color. A finger’s worth of white foamy head stood atop of the beer. Mild stringy lace.
The aroma starts with roasty coffee bean with some sweet oats and then subtle sweet cocoa bean.
The flavor leans sweet slightly but yields nicely to the roasty portion underneath. Sly sweet and semi-sticky to nutty aftertaste rounding into its finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Low carbonation. Smooth sweet texture.
Overall, pretty good oatmeal stout that I would have again.
