Süffiger, leicht malziger Beginn. Moderat röstig, herb, Noten von Kaffee und Kräutern. Etwas trocken, weniger würzig als gedacht, mittellanger Abgang. Gut trinkbar. 11/9/10/9/7/9

Bottle shared with Laura at San Marino Restaurant, Harlingen. Very dark red-brown color with a dark red hue coming through when held into the light. Aroma is malts, a bit boozy, prunes. Flavor is malts, again lightly boozy but nothing disturbing, prunes, caramel, light chocolate, brown candy sugar, a distant hint of dades, herbs, spices, it reminds me of "bastogne koeken", so "speculaas". Quite well balanced. A tad on the spice / herbal side for me, but I'm quite pleasantly surprised tbh.

Fast gone rim over darker cognac-coloured beer. Alcohol, brandy, sweetish, houseplants. Sweet, human sweat, coriander, faint sourish touc, and again very boozy/alcohol/fusels. Chaptalized, no doubt. Alcoholheat, long sweet aftertaste. Not thick, but well-bodied, oily. Hmmm... so far the best of Grutte Pier - which is not saying much. Thanks to Stef!

Fles gedeelt met Roelzie1986. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een rode gloed. Het heeft een dunne schuimkraag. Het aroma is moutig en fruitig. De smaak zurig en fruitiget een druif achtige afdronk.

Haribo macht kinder froh! Oftewel: winegums. Of zo'n likbal vd kermis. En wat koriander. Verder vooral zoet.

Hmmm kraag is wel snel weg, caramel/toffee, Kandy/bruine suiker, mout, wat lichte aardse en houttonen, zacht, verder goed te doen !
