A blend of different vintages of Saison, aged in French red wine barrels for 3, 4 and 5 years. Bosun’s Call 2 has a complex taste of bittersweet citrus, grape, grass and grains.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours a golden colored body with a light haze and a small white head. The aroma has a very pleasant vinous, woody touch, with a dusty cellar hint. It's mostly on the fruity side though, generic fruitiness that is. Funky notes, leather and barnyard, even a lemon scent, blend in. It's dry on the palate, nicely carbonated and medium to full bodied, with a light bitter touch. Tannins. Orange notes, lemon, grass hints and a vague hint of pale malts. It's funky too, with a pleasant vinous touch. Lasting dry, fruity and vinous finish. A delicious and tasteful one, complex too. Hope to see this one again. 190831

05.07.2019, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, slightly cloudy. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish floral, hay, oak, flowers, fruit stones, minerals, grape peel, bark, yeast, dried fruits, alcohol, hints of redwine and grain. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish floral, fruit stones, oak, flowers, hay, redwine, grass, minerals, alcohol, bark, grape peel, yeast, hints of grain. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish floral mouthfeel. Fair enough, not really my cup of coffee.
