St. Bernardus Christmas Ale is a dark, seasonal beer, full of wintery character and flavours that we brew every year ready for the festive season. This beer takes on a splendid dark-brown colour that is topped off with a cream-coloured layer of froth. EBC 60.

The best beer I've had in at least a couple weeks. So glad I didn't have to share any of this big bottle. Full, complex, fruity, oh my.

75 cl bottle (2018) enjoyed with the family at an appropriate time of the year. Deep brown colour, slightly hazy. Light beige head with good retention and lacing. Aroma's: sweetish, caramel, yeasty. Retronasal: sweetish, alcohol, caramel, red fruit. Flavour: moderate sweet, alcohol. Fairly strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Moderate bitter finish. Less sweet than I expected. Solid/classic Belgian strong ale.
