Deep chestnut brown with a frothy tan head. Not much of an aroma, just a soft hint of malt. Leafy, earthy malt up front with hints of berry fruit coming through and a dry, hoppy and slightly bitter finish.

Hand-pulled half-pint in my local Wetherspoons on 24th January 2024. Lovely looking pour, Ruby like traces in the amber/brown body, clear and bright; on top a soft and lasting off-white crown. Malty with a dark fruity feel, nice and interesting for a 4% Mild, well done Ilkley Brewery!

Pours a clear coppery brown colour with a small, mostly lasting, beige head. The aroma is light roasted malts, caramel and red berries. A moderately sweet light roasted taste, roasted malt, caramel, red and dark berry flavours with a light drying and fruity bitterness.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Reddish-brown with a large beige head and a light fizz. Chocolate caramel creams with a hazelnut inside. Definitely milky, with a little earth and a touch of blackcurrant in the finish. Mild bitterness. Not bad, and the more I drank the more I liked it.
