Bottle @ home thx to benzai. Murky yellow to orange with a decent white head. Smells malty. Little to no smell. Tastes malty and sweet. Not much to say about this one. Can’t really taste the liquorice wood, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Low carbo, medium body.

Bottle, 8%. Slow gusher. Vinous aroma, some baking yeast. Smells like fermenting homemade wine. Cloudy amber colour with some floaties. Very small white head. The flavour is sweet and very spicy, not like the aroma. Alcohol finish. Unpolished.

Bottle, 8%. Weak vinous aroma. Almost clear orange colour, many small floaties. The flavour is sweet and bready, hint of metal in the finish. A bit mashy, but is partially saved by a good alcohol level. Burns a bit in the finish.

2500th Rating: My last beer that I purchased from Holland. Clear amber/copper coloured body with a very thin tan head. Aroma of crazy bright alcohol and cleanser with some raisins and a touch of citrus. Medium-bodied; Sharp assertive malt bitterness with raisins and alcohol strongest. Aftertaste shows a lot of alcohol and malt with a bit of caramel and a touch of metallic bitterness following. Overall, not such a great beer, and definitely more bitter than it should be. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from BioMarkt in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 27-December-2007, sampled almost two years later on 06-December-2009 as my 2500th total.
