Cask at the Crosse Keys (JDW), Gracechurch Street, London. Pale straw with a thin white head; a thin lemony citrus aroma; rather watery with a sweet lemon sherbet taste with some sour grains; and a herbal bitterness adding a touch of spicy warmth to finish.

Pint at the Crosse Keys. I met the head brewer (a Danish expat) of this brewery so of course I had to try this beer. I also used to drink a lot of this brewery's Dog Booter, which over 20 years ago was rather good. Anyway, quite a fruit juicy flavour and a rather nice colour in the glass. As the pint developed it started getting sweeter and sweeter and the last two mouthfuls I really didn't enjoy at all as they tasted rather sugary. Anyway, a nice one to try for old times sake, but not the best. Re-rate in November 2024. No, this is really good!

Cask at the Caley Picture House. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of fresh hops, light lemon. Taste is bitter, green plant stalks and grapefruit pith. Bitter finish.

Cask at White Hart, Tongham. A vague hay/cereals aroma. Bright gold. White head, decent size but cobwebbed. Sweet with a bitter streak. Grapefruit, some hops, a hint of honey. Good body for a golden. Soft mouthful. Very drinkable.

Cask pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates Shropshire on 30th March 2016. Yet again a golden brew with a citrus based flavour and aroma: not as pronounced as some, but still along the same lines. This was OK, but as I am always saying " I am fed up with this style and type of beer". Scored kindly and objectively.

Not much dynamite here. More an insult….
Golden color with a white head. Moderate aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Malty and a bit fruity flavor. Dull stuff.

Really pale yellow colour. Aroma and flavour have a lot of pale malts. Smooth, fresh session beer. Some sweet fruit syrup in the aftertaste.
