Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Black, small head. Chocolatey nose. Mid sweet with medium to full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and dark cherries. Mid bitter finish.

Bottle (from Beer Republic). Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, some roasted and mild ashy tones with some slight smoked wet wooden tones. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, some nuts, mild ashes and somewhat old tart coffee tones too.

In der Nase herrlich schokoladig, schöner Cappuccino-Schaum, bricht aber schnell weg. Im Trunk schön röstig, Zartbitterschokolade, hinten vielleicht etwas wässrig. Ein schönes Bier aus einem furchtbaren Land.

Dark brown colour, tiny mostly vanishing head. Dark dried fruits, black bread coffee and chocolate in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Dark sweet bread, chocolate in the flavour. A bit on the light side, probably partly because of its age.

Appearance: Opaque deep brown with a small tan head of low retention. Aroma: Roasted barley, chocolate coffee, bakery. Taste: Light sweet, sourish, roasted, chocolate, coffee, some hop. Low to light bitterness. Roasted and hoppy aftertaste. Mouth feel: Light to medium body. Flat carbonation. Overall: Underwhelming.
