Brewed to celebrate Mild Month this dark ruby beer has a knotty juxtaposition. Sweetness from the dark malts preludes the smooth dryness of the hops. "Nautical but Nice".

Cask @ Wetherspoon Inverness 19/05/11 Appearance - Dark ruby red. Tan head. Aroma - Mild roasted hops, fruity aroma Taste - Mild roast / fruity caramel. Some hop bitterness. The harsh finish spoils the beer a bit.

Cloudy amber with a medium off white head. Earthy aroma with overripe fruits and caramel notes. Flavour had hazelnuts, earth, caramel and ripe fruits. Finished fairly bitter with some fresh hops. Good balance.

Cask@Kittyโs, Helsinki. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is wood, some caramel and some mild nuttyness. Flavour is quite strong nuttyness, caramel malts, some slight toffeeish notes as well as slight grassy and wooden notes. Very pleasant flavour.

Half pint real ale, fresh from cask at The White Star, Stoke. Partial cloudy, ruby-amber body. Sweet fruity to the nose. The taste profile has also got sweet fruits with notes of dark malts and a touch of lactose. Rounded and dry mouthfeel. A bit too sweet for a higher score (02.05.2009).

Cask at the Lord Burton (JDW), Burton-on-Trent. Reddish brown with a thin tan head; coffee aroma; caramel malt and ground coffee flavour with a dry and fruity finsh. Not a patch on the regular Titanic Mild I tried last week.

Cask handpull at Pembury Tavern, London. Very very deep ruby colour with thin lasting tan head. Quite a fruity aroma, turkish delight and rich cherry. Odd mild. No real bitterness on finish. Odd. Fruity, but very mild.
