ABV: (11.5)%. Clear dark black colour with a small to small average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, cinnamon, peppery, alcohol, apple brandy - calvados. Flavor is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, spicy, cinnamon, apple, peppery, chocolate, vanilla, cocoa, barrel, alcohol - calvados - apple brandy, light chili hot finish. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20200829]

Bottle from Tidens Farver. Black with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with a chili bite and heavy alcohol. Oily. The chili and alcohol combination in the finish is a bit overdone. 150820

Pitch black pour with a thin tan head. Huge toffee, apple brandy and cinnamon up front, followed by notes of vanilla, peppers, roasted malts, and a mild chili spiciness. Very nicely balanced, all components of the beer working perfectly well together, none of them overpowering. So good.

Bottle at THT. Thanks to Rembrandt. Massive big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Massive, insane cinnamon, raging spicy edges against the deep deep roast. In-sane. Full round barrel notes of bourbon and brandy. Cycle stouts are completely on a different level. Fantastic.

Bottle shared at THT July. Black with small tan head. Sweet malts, vanilla, cinnamon, maple, bourbon, toffee, spicy peppers, honey, chipotle. Quite sweet, medium bitter. Full bodied. Very good. 0
