Imperial Golden Ale with Coffee, Cocoa Nibs, Vanilla and Milk Sugar
Take in the wonder that is the marvelous – ahem – “marvelroast” new addition to our coffee beer lineup. We started with an imperial golden ale and brewed it with coffee, vanilla and cocoa nibs. But it doesn’t end there, folks. Milk sugar added during the brewing process lends a smooth and sweet finish, making this a delicious treat reminiscent of your favorite iced coffee drink.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear golden, mid sized head. Aroma of custard and café au lait. Very sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Custard and syrup, some coffee. Cloying and mostly unpleasant.

0,355l bottle at home. Bottled 06.21.2020. amber clear color, medium big white head. smells coffee, vanilla, berry notes, bit fudgy, toffee, hazelnuts, light aromas, vanilla bitterness. nice smell, gimmicky, lacks some bitter chocolatey notes. full body, soft carbonation. tastes of vanilla, earthy, tobacco, speculoos, hazelnuts, some aromas, bit leathery, light sweetness, spices. finishes lightly sweet with notes of vanilla, earthy and tobacco notes. hmm, interesting one, while not totally my thing (probably vanilla a bit too much). also tastes more like a more traditional beer with the flavours of a pastry stout, lacks the depth of a stout. quite good though.

Flaska från systembolaget. Doftar kaffe, choklad och lite läder. Söt, kaffe, vanilj och choklad. Fyllig. Får mig att tänka på Stones gamla aprilskämt om en ljus stout, vilket de då tyckte var en omöjlighet.

A golden beer, a head is almost medium and blond. Aroma has coffee, chocolate, light vanilla and fruitness. Taste has coffee, marzipan, chocolate, vanilla, there are sweetness, but not too much. Medium+ bodied, smooth. Great balance, enjoyable.
