Imperial Golden Ale with Coffee, Cocoa Nibs, Vanilla and Milk Sugar

Take in the wonder that is the marvelous – ahem – “marvelroast” new addition to our coffee beer lineup. We started with an imperial golden ale and brewed it with coffee, vanilla and cocoa nibs. But it doesn’t end there, folks. Milk sugar added during the brewing process lends a smooth and sweet finish, making this a delicious treat reminiscent of your favorite iced coffee drink.

Sweet and creamy, lots of mildly roasty coffee and vanilla. Some hops in the aftertaste. Not bad.

355ml bottle. Opalescent, orangey, golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, White Stout aroma, notes of vanilla, hundreds and thousands, some coffee, a touch of cocoa. Taste is sweet, sugary malty, notes of vanilla, coffee, a touch of cocoa, bitter hoppy counterpart. Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Slightly silly brew for me, way too much vanilla, too sugary, nice coffee flavours, though - meh.

Optisch klares Gold, in der Nase deutlich Espresso, leicht Vanille, ebenso im Trunk, dazu etwas Karamell, leicht süß, verhältnismäßig süffig, cremig, lecker.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a sweet grains, vanilla and lactose with a decent amount of coffee supporting. Flavor has the same vanilla and lactose with coffee to give an overall sweet creamy coffee note.

A golden ale with cocoa and coffee added? Go figure. Found this Founders at the local craft beer shop recently, sharing with my son. It shows up a dark gold with a minimal off-white head. A very unusual smell, lots of coffee and vanilla. The taste too, different, cream soda with a slug of coffee. Interesting but not my cup of tea.

Bottle from Candia Rd Brilliant deep golden color with a huge rocky white head that slowly recedes before leaving lots of sticky lace. Wow That's a chocolate fudgey vanilla frosting with a hint of coffee kind of beer right there. Seems artificial but tastes quite good for someone with a sweet tooth.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with a dense haze of medium particles, white head. Chocolate and vanilla aroma blending with roasty coffee. Flavor pretty straightforward, with cocoa, coffee, vanilla. It's good, but lacking a bit in intensity.

Coffee, chocolate, honey, biscuit malt, and hay aroma. Golden yellow with small white head. Very sweet latte, cocoa, honey, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter hay flavor. Good body - light alcoholic finish. Nice coffee flavor but very sweet.
