Buying this beer at one kiosk, train station, Landquart. Drinking this can, yesterday, coming back from Freiburg, Germany. Relax, on the balcony, still hot and fresh and smooth beer, fruity, some toffee note, light at the beginning, better at the end, 15.08.23

Bottiglia.

From tap in St Gallen with people from the GSERM Summer Course 12.06.23. Clear pale amber. Off-white head and lacing. Soma aroma of sweet pilsner malt and noble hops. Tasty and with good drinkability, but a bit bland.

Eines meiner bevorzugten Amber-Biere. Sehr ausgewogen, angenehme Bitterkeit. Ein Ganzjahres-Bier.

500 ml can from Drinks of the World. One more from mj500; second of this trip. Slightly cloudy orange-amber, nice head. Nutty, malty nose, bread, light caramel, peppery hops. Slightly oxidized, nalty, lightly sweet flavor, earthy, peppery. Somewhat simple but pretty good. This is still a reasonably good kellerbier, but I have a feeling that MJ inclluded it just to be more broad and eclectic. There are hundreds of better Franconian kellerbiers, and I imagine that such was the case when he wrote the book. This was included to show off what was happening in Switzerland, no doubt.
