Clear amber with a medium off white head. Aroma had gooseberries, toasted malt and light notes of caramel. Over the palate came gooseberries, juicy malt and peach. Finished dry with light bitterness.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a collapsing off-white head. The aroma is sweet mlaay with strong notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

bottle, thanks to Bochum. Clear golden colour, medium-sized head. Malty and sweet, full-bodied with a shy fruityness and a touch of aromatic hops. Hoppy finish.

Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): Clear golden coloured, visible carbonation, mid-sized, slowly collapsing white head; sweet malty to bisquity nose with a tinge of vegetables; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; a light, but lingering bitterness in the sweet-bisquity finish. O.K., but a bit monotonous.........

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big blond foamy head. Moderately sweet pale malty and sour-doughy nose with citrus and traces of honey in the background, accompanied by a light spicy hops character. Light sweet and minimal acidic flavour, quite slim bodied for 5.4% abv, quite crispy on the tongue. Malty and strawy taste with a touch of sour-dough and subtle fruity flavours; moderately sweet, malt-accented finish with a faint level of hoppy bitterness.
