Bottle at Ratebeer München Tasting Tuesday 31st January 2023. Aroma is a little dusty but nothing negative other than this on the aroma. Pours mid amber, soft caramel in the mouth, a good maltiness throughout, even a little light bitterness, good.

Bottle. Clear amber color with white head. Aroma is mildly buttery, a bit tart, caramel. Taste is earthy, toffee, mildly buttery again. Chewy mouthfeel, natural carbonation. Not bad, though the smell is close to being rancid.

Hönig Festbier, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Tiefdunkles Kupfergoldbraun, klar. (21.1.2023.)

Bottled (during last night in Hotel). Deep orangeish amber colour with mediumsized off-white head. Quite dark colour for being oktoberfest/märzen. Aroma is bready and caramelly malts along with some wooden and mildly grassy notes. Flavour is quite much the same in a pleasant balance. Refreshing, even though had at room temperature.

Amber-brown. Very toasty nose with a slight woody, caramelly note. The wood and caramel character emerge further on the palate. True malty festbier with a woody hop accent.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Clear golden with a white head. Very clean malty nose. Rather full body with a solid and clean malt base perfectly balanced by a good and dry hoppiness. Solid craftmanship. 040408
