19 March 2019. Can from Sainsbury's Local, Edinburgh. Bedroom tasting - with Anke! Pours cloudy black with a huge, slowly collapsing, 'sea foam'-like frothy, beige head; lots of lacing. Aroma of mocha, coffee & cream, toffee, vanilla, brownie & nut cake, raisin, molasses, milk chocolate. Taste is medium malty sweet, pure coffee & cream, some chocolate on top, brownie dough, evolving a 'deep' nuttiness into the light roasted bitter middle, soft toast & black coffee, some herbs (tea) & vague dark fruits. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering mocha, fondant & nut cake. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Quite assertive for a Sweet Stout, nice.

Can from Sainsbury's, High Wycombe. Dark brown beer with a thin light brown head. Sweet coffee up front, then chocolate and vanilla with a light roasty note. Quite a short, if sticky finish. Cheap coffee cream chocolates is the theme here, but it's enjoyable enough nevertheless.
