33cl can from Sainsbury's, Bracknell. An opaque cola brown coloured pour with a thick coffee coloured head; aroma of coffee, vanilla and chocolate syrup; sweet and full-bodied in the mouth with vanilla and caramel flavours nicely cut through by a ground coffee bitterness. A rather good sweet stout.

33cl can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a frothy long-lasting light tan head. The aroma is big dry sweet vanilla lactose chocolate, it totally dominates. The flavour is moderate sweet with a dry coffee, rich malty, sugary chocolate, light liqourice, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Black with thin creamy head. Aroma and flavour have loads of sweetened coffee and vanilla. Rich and creamy. Intensely flavoured.

Bottle from Sainsbury's, Bedford. Very dark brown, encroaching on black with an indigo hue. Light aroma with vanilla, some chocolate, a touch of liquorice. Taste is sweet but there's a vegetal note, as well as harshness from the well-roasted malt. A touch of sourness in the finish with black coffee, blackberry and ash in the aftertaste. Decent despite some issues in my opinion.

Can. Nose is pronounced vanilla, coffee, sugar, charcoal, smoke. Taste is lactose, vanilla essence, coffee, sweetener (!), hint of chocolate, slight soy in the thin finish. Very sweet, and it really tastes like sweetener, to the point where I wondered if they had used a sugar free vanilla essence...?

Can that I picked up from Sainsburys, consumed at home making a Keema curry from the Curry Guy Indian Cookbook, Sunday 23rd July 2017 Pours black with a beige head, looks good. I rarely ever look at the review from another prior to rating as I don’t wish to bias my rating intentionally or unintentionally, however I agree to an extent with Gary below. I also thought that this came across as a bit artificial, however I don’t mind it, though if I were to compare this against a very similar strength and ingredient stout that was very highly thought of I might consider this to be like a Katie Price type character entering a beauty contest. I got the vanilla, chocolate and coffee but it all seemed a little plastic and unreal, but I still liked it and would drink it again A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4

Can. Sainsbury’s. Very dark, chestnut brown. Film and ring of mucky beige. Nose has melted KitKat biscuit. Hint of coffee dregs. Vanilla essence. Taste is sweet and sugary, with a coffee bitterness. Ok mouthfeel. Crisp carbonation. Bitter finish. Just feels artificial from start to finish.

Can from Sainsbury’s, Cobham, Surrey. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a decent beige head on top. The aroma is coffee, milk chocolate and a little vanilla. The taste is really creamy, coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Easy drinking coffee stout, decent effort from Drygate.
