Bottiglia ABV 9.2%.

Bottle at birrone. Pitch black color with big brown head, reducing, somewhat persistent. Cahrcoal, licorice, defrost, spice (china root) , winryey and fruity, backed by intense woody tones. Taste unexpectedly sour, and well bitter. Body is relatively thick with liquor. Quite complex, i have mixed feelings about this one, it's wild, raw, alive but also rude. Finish is long, acidic, mild alcoholic with a trail of charcoal.

Dec. ’16. On tap at Open Baladin, Rome (tap label stated 9.2% ABV). It poured pitch black body with small brown head. Very pleasant licorice, coffee, dried fruits and light alcohol aroma. Flavor was lightly sweet with roasted malt dominating. Coffee and cocoa of course, then dried fruits, but also with a bit raw note, like grass and unripe fruit. Touch of hoppy bitterness popped in and out occasionally. Medium to full bodied with moderately long, lightly bitter coffee finish mostly, among other roasted flavors. A fine (imperial) porter, but without too much complexity, particularly secondary flavors which I missed the most.
