Poured from the tap. Clear reddish brown with small off white head. Mild caramel malt, subdued earthy hops, everything slightly muted, but at least properly made.

Smells of vague wood and caramel, has a dark clear copper body and almost no foam. Flavour is soft wood notes but thin though. Full mouthfeel. This is simple, the alcohol is well hidden but it's forgettable.

On tap at Callister, pours a dark copper with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, subdued earthy hops, and some bitter pine. Flavour is along the same lines, with bitter piney hops and bready malt. Nicely balanced, with a piney, bitter finish. Decent red ale.

Draught at Callister, Vancouver
Dark amber colour, bright and clean, with compact beige head. Good strength, burnt sugar and caramel profile, some English yeast character, but also a bit earthy and some vegetable bitterness in the end.
Similar to my current appreciation of a Fullers Vintage Ale, not bad, but not my kind of beer. A good beer anyway.
