Winters are a challenging time for your tastebuds - you really want that refreshing fruited sour, but but are unwilling to compromise on the mysticism and warmth of the winter season, so you order something dark and malty. Glad Tidings! We've baked up a Blueberry Cobbler inspired sour, that is superlatively balanced. Tart blueberry meets a doughy malt backbone, that unfolds with sweetness, cinnamon spice, and vanilla niceties. Refreshing and complex - God bless us everyone!

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5

On tap at Club Ilia, pours a bright dark pink with a small beige head. Nose is full of tart blueberry skins and plenty of lacto. Flavour is full of gently tart blueberries, lots of lacto, and some faint earthiness. Not very deep but it's drinkable. Meh.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8.5

The aroma is sweet blueberry, but not too sweet, a good level of sweetness. Has great deep pink semi-opaque body and some okay foam on top. Flavour is an initial hit of sour blueberry followed by a dry pastry flavour finish. Excellent staging of flavours. I don't think I've encountered this kind of sequencing in this city before. The blueberry could be slightly sweeter to perfect that pastry vibe. Good finish, but I'm thinking it should be gooier for what it is. Nonetheless this is great, really enjoyable and an excellent fruit forward beer.
