2019 edition 10% abv and IBU70. The aroma is sweet boozy caramel, has soft deep copper body and modest foam on top. Flavour is harsh burning plastic and sharp sugary bread. Mouthfeel is reasonably crisp. There are some okay elements but they're drowned by the booziness and it being overhopped.

Draught at the brewery
Clean amber colour. The aroma has some caramel, light phenol, light anise, it reminds me of European Barley Wines (e.g. Netherlands). Full bodied, very sweet, but also strong sweetness to mask the alcohol, somehow; cloying sweetness, caramel flavour, not much malt depth, more of a candy character.
I've had middle range Barley Wines like this, not horrendous, but clearly a clumsy attempt at the style. Still, something to build on and improve.

On tap at Moody Ales, pours a clear copper amber with a small white head. Aroma is very strange, with unfermented wort and a bit of toasted caramel. Flavour is similar, really bringing out the unfermented wort, with caramel and toasted bready malt. What a strange one - don't think this is quite finished.
