Poured from the tap. Clear blonde with small white head. Quite grainy, cereal malt, dry grassy hops, a bit of astringency on the finish. There’s some nice things about this, but it’s a little bit roughshod and haphazard in delivery.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves soapy lacing. Mild, sweet aroma of toasted grainy malt and floral hops. Sweet flavour of toasted grainy malt, light lemon and grassy hops in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Clean, refreshing and crushable. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Pilsner on 18 Feb 2016 at 23:30 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5. Draught at the brewery
Pale blond colour. Crisp base, very clean, with decent grassy hopping. A timid but very decent Pils, worth trying again. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Pilsner on 08 Mar 2014 at 10:50 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5. Original review text:
2018-06-08, draught at the brewery as Kellerbier Dryhopped w/ Jester Hops, 5-3-5-3-11
Hazy blond colour. Vwery light fruity feeling, in the aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, low carbonation, I don't like much the malt base, it's mild, but with cereals and cardboard feeling; the hops is lightly herbaceous, unexciting.
2014-06-18, draught at the brewery, as Zickel (unfiltered Pilsner), 6-3-6-2-12=29
Cloudy blond color with small compact head. It has mild but pleasant touch of bread, water cracker and cereals; but the bitterness in the final has some chicory type, that still need some tuning.
2014-03-01, draught at the brewery, 6-4-5-1-10=26
Golden color with small head. Nice aroma, malt, cereals. At first the flavor seems nice too, with crispy malt and cereals, but there is a pungent presence of fermentation chemicals; also the hopping, with a grassy impression initially, but then reaching a disturbing level of bitterness and chicory character.
As is now, not a good beer, although they seem to use good ingredients. To be improved, a lot.

Clear yellow body and almost no foam, very faint watery hops on the nose. Flavour is average pils hops and nothing else... and I tell you, that cigarette smoker's smell is just so much more prominent these days. Like dude, ich. Not bad, average lager, certainly not a pilsner. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Pilsner on 06 Oct 2018 at 17:28 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5. Original review text: Has a very soft aroma of sugar and nothing else. Modest gold body with no head. Flavour is soft golden hops, finish is mellow sweetness. Hugely inoffensive, soft and boring.

As Avant-gade PIls: On tap at Bomber, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out cereal notes, straw and toasted grains. Flavour is clean enough, with biscuity malt, cereal notes, and straw. Under-hopped, with little depth. Drinkable enough but pretty lame. ---

Original review text: Can, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Nose is skunky and vegetal-dominated, with all sorts of nasty medicinal notes. Flavour is nastily medicinal as well, with skunky vegetal notes, soapy notes and grass. Absolutely atrocious. Drain pour.

Pale golden color. Weak body low bitterness. Not very interesting, as expected. Kinda odd I initially gave this 2.7, but after drinking the same beer again six months later it jumped up to 3.5 and had much better body and bitterness. Now combining ratings

Draft - Very light grains. Clear light gold with a decent white head. Sweet pale malts and a hippy bitter bite. This is actually pretty decent.

Draught at St Augustine’s. Clean honey with a minimal head. Aroma is light malt. Flavour is malty, a citrus bitter hop background. No carbonation to speak about, quite oily texture.
