The Schisandra berry is native to East Asia. It's name translates to "five flavour fruit" due to the fact that they possess all five basic flavours: sweet, sour, salty, savoury and bitter; making this beer one flavourful experience!

Clear dark copper body, tiny foam, smells of coriander and chili paste and ginger on the nose. Flavour is a lot of varied spices - more ginger, dried chilis, beef soup stock. Dry mouthfeel from all the saltiness. I can't pick out a grain and I can't pick out the beeriness in this and overall I wouldn't recommend it to anyone except those who like sucking on spice racks.
