Inspired by Rogue Farms Dream Rye, this ale was originally brewed as a special one-
time holiday gift exclusively for Rogue employees. It was such a hit that at the urging of Brewmaster John Maier, we decided to share it with the world.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy amber color. Loaded with caramel, with some candy impression too, lightly fruity, earthy and spicy touch from the rye, resiny hops with bitter orange peel in the final.
Not a modern IPA, but a well brewed beer.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out robust notes of rye, earthy hops, and toasted crusty bread. Flavour is dominated by the rye but is also pronouncedly malty, with lots of spicy and earthy rye, as well as sweet caramel malt. Hops are earthy, though rather buried. Rather messy and too sweet. Not a big fan.

Bomber from La Bodega in Anchorage. Pours clear dark copper with a yellow/beige head. Aroma of rye, caramel and citrus/floral hop. Med body. Flavor is fairly strong rye, some sweet caramel toffee. It is bitter; it is rye; it is fairly malty. Good one.

Draft at PreFunk. Dark amber pour with soft, sticky head. Hoppy aroma also features caramel malts and dome rye sourness. Rye kicks up a bit in the taste, with the hops providing some bite at the finish.

Sample at Rogue Farms/Chatoe Rogue. The beer is a clear copper color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of piney hops, malt and rye.Medium body with flavors of earthy hops, rye malt and citrus. The finish is moderately bitter with a spicy rye and hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
