Hoppy Boy IPA previously known as Hoppy Buoy – has the following notes:

First, we tweaked the recipe for a crisp, clean flavour and refreshing IPA bitterness. Next, we wrapped it in bold new green and navy branding and simplified the name. Finally, we put that tasty brew in a can! Hoppy Boy IPA is a shipload of hops packed with citrus notes a nautical mile long.

Has okay modest head and well carbonated dark orange body. Aroma is good hops, peaches and tart pears. Flavour is sharp hoppy notes and good grain notes. Medium finish. It’s a good reliable IPA I gotta say.

On tap at the Cambridge Suites, Halifax NS. A slightly hazy amber pour with a tight white head; some piney hops on the aroma; and a bitter grapefruit taste. Refreshing.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a yellow hue and a white head. Aroma has notes of citrus and light onion with a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has notes of grains, pine and bitter citrus with a hint of biscuit underlying.

On tap at GCBF 2016, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out faded floral hops, some earthy notes and biscuity malt - smells anything but west coast style. Flavour is more like a British IPA, with floral hops, biscuity malt and light pine. Clean and drinkable, but pretty boring for the style.
