355ml can. Pours a clear dark brown with reddish hue and a medium, short lived, beige head that laces. Mild, sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and a hint of coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate and light licorice with a bitter coffee finish. Light to medium body with a watery to oily texture and average carbonation. Meh.

Can. As is the rest of ’em. Which is great, cuz I can bring back tonnes and not just sit ever-so-forlornly in their tasting room trying them all. Much nicer to chillax here with a can and a proper glass and try it "au-naturel" to get the real feel, so to speak. Poured at 10c (yeah I left it out) it’s got great head and that almost black body but when you hold it up to light it will shine through a bit. The aroma is all barley without any hops or other thingies to really push it up - some carbonation perhaps but still it’s missing an attraction of complexity. I find it’s the same with the taste, the brew is giving me a few hints of chocolate and coffee but not making them sing. Like Pavarotti on a serious bender or something. Of course I’ll still drink all 12 I bought but probably won’t go back for 100 more. Promising new brewery though I gots ta tells ya. Will be roadtrippin’ down there next year for shure.
