31/VII/15 - 50cl bottle from the local supermarket (Olomouc) @ holidays - BB: 14/VI/16 (2015-1022)

Clear orange beer, big creamy off-white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of citrus, some grapefruit, pretty refreshing. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, bit sweet, some caramel, pretty bitter, grassy, lots of bitter hops. Aftertaste: grassy, hoppy, some grapefruit, bit sweet, spicy touch. Seriously, why the low ratings? This is definitely not the best ipa I've ever had, but then again I've had way worse than this. Or is it common to piss on Primator for some reason? Very curious about the low ratings this beer gets...

Lightly hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth with a fine carbonation. The malts are lightly sweet with just a trace of grain. Bittersweet banana and bubblegum esters. Bitterish floralnes. Resinous marmalade. Creamy malt comes back and provides some balancing sweetness. Airy smooth finish. Don’t understand all the shite rates for this beer, it’s not the deftest but it’s certainly decent.

50cl bottle from Bohemia Deli T2, Prague Airport. Pours clear deep golden to amber with a fairly modest, white head. Malty aroma with caramel, ripe peaches, some slightly floral and herbal notes and hints of alcohol. Sweet, malty and caramelly with mild fruity flavours and a fairly light bitterness. Fair enough English style IPA, but hardly anything to write home about. --- Beer merged from original tick of IPA on 09 Jul 2015 at 18:31 - Score: 5

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - amber with a nice head. Nose - sweet malt and a touch of dried orange. Taste - dry biscuit. Lemon bitterness with some malt astringency too. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry and slightly astringent finish. Overall - i don’t think this really represents the style.

On tap at Ljubljanski Festival Piva 2015. Shared with Marko. Last on at LJFP, thanks Marko for bringing it. Darker golden coloured, small white head, mild grainy nose. Moderate malty, caramel, light bready and weak hoppy with notes of herbs in rather short finish. So-so.

500 ml bottle, from the Danish importer. ABV is 6.5%. Clear deep golden colour, huge white head. Sweetish aroma, more like 6.5% Czech lager than an IPA, notes of flowers, hints of oranges. Fairly sweet flavour, some oranges, caramel and alcohol, followed by a surprisingly sharp and very bitter medicinal finish. Unbalanced. Did not like this one much.

Draught at CBF 2015. Clear golden colour with an amber tint. Thin, white head. Fruity aroma with grasses, butter, caramel malts and citrus fruits. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture. Finishes dry and bitter with grasses and spices. Rather rough and off-style.
