Good head, okay copper-black body with no carbonation but not pitch black as a porter really should be. The aroma is heavy on the roasted barley with a hint of nuttiness and roasted open fire but otherwise not particularily fantastic. Flavour is strong chocolate-y notes with a hint of barley and wood and a sugary molasses finish. This beer is okay for its style and what it does, but you won’t remember it in a day let alone a week. A very middling stout.

Bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, a touch of roast and dry crackery malt. Flavour brings out lots of toasted malt, bready notes and light crackery notes. Very light on the palate, with a dry finish. Not the most enjoyable porter, but it's acceptable.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Black color with beige head. Strong espresso character, plenty of boutique coffee traits, with a dry mouthfeel, and some light acidity in the final that tickles the tongue for a pleasant feeling.
Very nice Stout.
