Sweet honey wet paper aroma and flavor. This mouthfeel, no hops to speak of. This is either a bad bottle or a bad beer.

Getreide in Nase und Trunk, leichtes Malz, dezente Süße. Erinnert an ein typisches Helles, ordentlich gebraut, aber auch nicht mehr als guter Durchschnitt.

~500ml draft at Le Richmond in Montreal, Quebec. The pour is clear golden with not much of a white head. The aroma is grain malt, floral, grass and a hint of vegetal. The taste is the grain, vegetal and grass of the nose plus a bright, artificial honey flavor. The palate is light to medium bodied, rough active carbonation and the sweet lingering finish.

Griffintown Montrealaise. Clear gold, filmy head make for a good looking blonde ale. Grainy, lightly suit with a touch of biscuit makes for a pretty standard blonde. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. The taste is earth, light malts, a bit metallic with a dry chalky bitter finish.

Enjoyed at the Bistro L’Autre Oeil in Aylmer, QC. Pours a golden colour with a great white head that lasts a very long time with decent lacing. Nice fruity malt aromas with some grain in the background. The taste is milder with the fruity malts and a little bitterness in the finish. A nice fruity malt beer that goes down nicely like my go-to Boréale beers. Gets hoppier as it goes. A better pale session beer than macros. I really enjoyed this one.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is light cornish and slight grassy. Bitter, light malty and vague cornish flavoured. Medium dry and bitter finish.

I feel slightly inclined to write part of this review in French, since it’s Montrealaise, but I’ll just be on the Anglo-side of the city and stay en Anglais. Crisp, clear slightly orange golden blonde coloured body with a large, thick off-white head that leaves a lace on the glass. Aroma of fresh malt, light hops, citrus, a bit of caster sugar and some very mild coriander seed freshness. Light-bodied; Fresh malt flavour with some very subtle corn and yeast with an odd fake-sugar sweetness. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, but left mostly mild from the lack of real flavours and complexity. Overall, not such a great beer, but perhaps good and fresh when the weather is very hot - when is that in Montreal?!? I sampled this 341 mL bottle purchased from Marche Des Saveurs in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for CA$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 24-January-2011.

Aroma has soft malt hints. There’s little head, and a weak orange body. Flavour is a smooth hoppy lager taste. Smooth mouthfeel. It’s drinkable and simple.
